Character! A real classic old-school bar with live music and dance floor. Food is bag of chips, peanuts but that doesn’t matter because you’re coming here for the drinks, music and dancing. More

Blue Moon Tavern is a rare find—an authentic dive bar with real history (opened in 1934) and a ton of charm. James and Rosa were super friendly and fun, and the whole place has that laid-back, no-frills vibe that’s getting harder to find in … More

🌟 The Husky Den: Your Cozy Campus Oasis (A 5-Star Review!) 🎄
...If you're looking for the perfect spot near the University of Washington campus to decompress after a tough lecture, celebrate a win, or just hang out with friends, look no further than The Husky Den (or whatever its actual name is—but this spot is definitely a den of good times!).
From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in a fantastic, homey atmosphere. It’s the kind of place with comfortable lighting and warm, inviting decor that makes you feel instantly relaxed, like you've just stepped into a friend's super-cool living room.
Why The Husky Den Stands Out:
🏡 Unbeatable Vibe: Unlike those loud, sterile campus hangouts, The Husky Den truly embraces a cozy, welcoming feel. It’s perfect for everything from a focused study session with a beer to a deep, meaningful conversation.
🎄 Holiday Magic: During the winter, the place transforms with holiday cheer! Seeing the beautifully decorated Christmas tree is a total mood booster and makes grabbing a drink during finals week feel like a festive treat. It's the best spot to soak up some holiday spirit near campus.
💃 Unexpected Fun: Don't let the "homey" descriptor fool you—this place knows how to party! Tucked away is a great dancefloor that seems to materialize when the time is right. It’s perfect for shaking off the stress of the week without having to trek downtown. A genuinely fun surprise!
The staff are always friendly, the drinks are solid, and the location can't be beat. It's a genuine gem that perfectly blends a comfortable neighborhood bar feel with the fun energy of a college hotspot.
Go here for the cozy atmosphere, stay for the dance party!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 Stars)
Pro Tip: Try to stop by when the Christmas tree is up—it's truly magical!

Atmosphere (this makes this bar!): One of the best open mic nights in Seattle! As a great live music venue, open since 1934, the Wednesday night open mic is a scene alone! Johnny and Odin hold it down, and from regulars to fledgling performers, you will not find the spirit and variety of Seattle's live music scene as alive as it is at The Blue Moon Tavern!!
Okay, I will level with you, if its weren't for the proximity of a good taco stand, Caravan (the sleeper restaurant in the central asian, great spots on the north and), Dick's, and the Ave, would be a 1 of 5. Dive bar, chips and pretzels, nothing special, but, they encourage outside food!!
Service is top tier dive bar! You will get taken care of, the bartender might not look so happy to oblige, but they will. And if you frequent a dive bar, And Tip Well, the staff will look after you because the, the staff, want patrons like you.

Historic venue with a really cool vibe. They often host great bands and the sound is always good. They also serve Seattle Soda which is more interesting than the standard Coke products that you'd find at most bars. They don't sell tickets in advance so be prepared to pay at the door. More

Great (and historic) hangout spot. Drinks are reasonably priced. They don't serve food, but they do allow you to bring your own food in.

Awesome vibe here! Have come for the open mic nights on Wed. Jonny hosts a great one, and the stage setup is sick/great sound. Good times all around! The bartender(s) are super nice, too. More
